By Carrie Ricci, Deputy Director, Contra Costa County Public Works Department
Clyde, CA – A contractor for Contra Costa County Public Works will perform repairs and maintenance to the rubberized surfacing in the play area at Big Oak Tree Park on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., barring unforeseen circumstances. The play area will remain closed for the remainder of the week and will reopen on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, weather permitting.
The purpose of this work is to complete repairs and apply treatment to the rubberized surface beneath the play area structures. The play area should not be accessed while the fencing is in place. Walking on the surface during the curing process can affect the finished product. Maintaining the integrity of the newly treated surface is essential to ensuring long-term safety for all park users.
Contra Costa County Public Works appreciates the community’s cooperation and understanding as this essential work is performed.
