68 arrests, five for DUI in Pleasant Hill in August

Good evening Pleasant Hill! We’re sorry about the delay, but the Pleasant Hill Police Department is back with a snapshot of our monthly crime stats, giving you a look at some of the police activity that took place in our city in August 2026.

Of the 68 arrests, 68% were misdemeanors, 32% were felonies, 100% were adults and five were for DUI. In addition, 144 citations were issued of which 43% were hazardous cites, and 57% were non-hazardous.

Other incidents included 10 Injury traffic accidents, 10 Non-injury traffic accidents and five Handicap violations.

Of the 1,936 calls for service in August, bringing the total to 18,373 total incidents / calls for service for 2026, a 10.8% increase compared to the same time last year, there were 92 Property Crimes and three Person Crimes. Of the Property Crimes, 78 were larcenies which include shoplifting, theft from a car, bike theft, purse snatching, etc., 10 were auto thefts, three were residential burglaries and there was one business burglary. Of the three Person Crimes, one was for aggravated assault, one rape and one robbery.
