36-year-old Adam Lew also caught during traffic stop with drugs, has history of arrests since 2013; held on $95K bail
By Brentwood Police Department
On the morning of September 14th, one of our officers contacted 36-year-old Adam Alexander Lew (Pittsburg – born 7-21-1989) during a traffic stop. Lew did not have a valid driver’s license and our officers saw drug paraphernalia in the pocket of the driver’s door.
A search of Lew and of the vehicle revealed suspected narcotics, additional drug paraphernalia, counterfeit postal keys used to steal mail out of mailboxes, and stolen checks that were in the process of being forged. Further investigation revealed at least one of the checks was stolen in mid-August in the city of Folsom.
Lew was booked into jail on several charges including possession of stolen property, forgery, and identity theft. This case highlights the importance of collaboration between laws enforcement and the community in stopping crime.
According to localcrimenews.com, Lew has a history of arrest dating back to 2013 by multiple agencies, including Antioch, Clayton, Concord, Pittsburg, Walnut Creek and Folsom Police Departments and Contra Costa County and San Joaquin County Sheriffs’ Departments, for a variety of crimes. They include burglary, receiving stolen property – motor vehicle, forgery, check fraud, trespassing and drug possession.
According to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department, the five-foot, 11-inch tall, 175-pound suspect is being held in the West County Detention Facility and is being held on $95,000 bail.

So Mr. Lew stole my Van in Antioch. He was caught in my van in Pleasant Hill at Lisa Ln and the Iron Horse Regional Trail with drugs and my stolen property. There was video of him stealing my van, there was video of him selling all the metal out of the back of my van at a local recycling center. No one asked for the video, no one retrieved the video from the recycling center that I found for the Detectives…. then the DA let him off with Possession of stolen property instead of grand theft auto and then no charges, no jail time and back on the streets with a slap on the hand. Our legal system is lazy. The police did their part and caught him 36 hours after the theft and Contra Costa County let him go with no charges. This is our legal system not working. FYI East Bay Regional Park District Police Department made the original arrest on April 29th 2023. Look Adam Lew up on localcrimenews.com, there is no listing for the crimes and dates I listed. If our legal system is not going to back up the arrests of our police officers then our legal system is failing us all.
I knee Adam and he was then and is now a danger to society and to his child. Adam was actually arrested at a bank parking lot in Martinez I believe, as he was passed out in a car with his 5 year old daughter.. Someone called the police,. They found forged checks drugs and burglary tools and the bank pressed charges as he had cashed a $2,000 forged check at that bank a couple days before. At that time he had 2 other pending casesfor fraud, breaking and entering, mail theft, the list goes on and on. Most were felonies. I was following his 3 current pending cases, which had at least 25 separated charges leveled against him. He lawyered up.. Lawyer claimed he was not responsible due to his drug use. The 3 pending charges suddenly disappeared from the court portal, he was released on his own recognizance, REALLY, and now here we go again, Shame on the Contra Costa County Judge who let him off, and shame on our system,
