The Brentwood Police Department is aware of a report involving a possible weapon at Liberty High School today, Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
School administrators immediately notified law enforcement, and officers responded to investigate. The item involved was determined to be an imitation weapon and was confiscated. The investigation determined there was no active threat to students, staff or the campus, and the matter was resolved without disruption to the school day.
We appreciate the students, staff, and community members who promptly report safety concerns. Reports of possible threats are taken seriously and investigated in coordination with our school partners.
Because this incident involves a student, no additional information will be released at this time.
The Brentwood Police Department remains committed to working with our schools to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
